What to think about next

GLP-1 injections have helped a lot of people lose weight, gain confidence and d things they have never been able to do, they have been genuinely life changing. They can reduce appetite, quieten food noise and give people the breathing space they need to step away from habits that were not serving them.

For that reason alone, they deserve credit. They are a tool, and for many people, a very effective one.

But more and more people are now asking the same question: what happens when I stop?

Why weight regain is common

GLP-1 medications work by altering appetite and digestion. While you are on them, eating less often feels easier. When you come off, that biological support is removed.

What often happens next is:

  • appetite increases again

  • hunger cues return quickly

  • old habits creep back in

  • weight regain follows, sometimes rapidly

This is not a failure. It is simply biology meeting behaviour.

If the period on GLP-1 has not been used to build new routines around food, movement and lifestyle, the body tends to default back to what it knows.

The key question to ask yourself

Before stopping, it is worth asking:

  • have I built habits that can support my weight without medication

  • do I understand how much I need to eat to maintain my weight

  • do I have a routine for movement and strength

  • do I have support when motivation dips

If the honest answer is no, that does not mean you should not come off. It means you need a plan.

Why this transition matters

Coming off GLP-1 is a critical window. Done well, it can be the moment where weight loss turns into long term health change. Done without support, it is where people feel frustrated, blame themselves and end up back where they started.

This is where structure really matters.

We can help

Our 6 week programme is designed specifically to support people who are lookign to build new habits that actually last and give them the education, support and accountability to move forward. This includes those we are either coming off GLP-1 injections or preparing to do so.

The focus is not restriction or punishment. It is about:

  • rebuilding appetite awareness

  • learning how to eat enough, but not too much

  • maintaining weight while hormones rebalance

  • building strength and muscle to protect metabolism

  • creating routines that fit real life, not perfection

You will be supported with coaching, training and accountability so that when the medication stops, you are not left guessing.

GLP-1 is not the enemy

It is worth saying clearly. Using GLP-1 injections is not something to be ashamed of.

For many people, it has been the thing that finally gave them hope and momentum.

But medication works best when it opens the door to longer term change.

If you are thinking about coming off, or you have already stopped and feel unsure about what comes next, support can make all the difference.
